Welcome to The Merstham Mix
Open Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 2:00pm / Saturday 09:30am – 1:00pm
We are crowdfunding to extend our opening hours! You can learn more and pledge here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/mix
What impact will the extra opening hours have?
Extending the opening hours will allow us to:
- Feed kids (& their families!) after school
- Provide free meals to people in need
- Support after-school activities in the hub
- In the future, teach cookery skills to kids and adults
- Use double the amount of perfectly edible food that would otherwise go to waste
- Create more paid positions and double the volunteering opportunities
What’s in it for you?
In return for your generous donations, you will be able to choose from some amazing rewards. They include a recipe book from some amazing local chefs, a reusable cup from Keep Cup, activities in the hub and even parties! And, whatever the level of your contribution, your name will be on our ‘wall of fame’.

Welcome to The Merstham Mix, a brand new café aiming to bring together the local community and provide healthy and affordable meals – plus great coffee – for everyone.
In response to the huge issue of global food waste, The Merstham Mix uses ingredients donated from local supermarkets and other food businesses – food that is still perfectly good to eat but that for one reason or another is destined to go to waste.
We offer a daily special of a hot and wholesome meal made from our food donations and available at a price that makes it affordable to everyone. We will also offer a full café menu which has been designed to be both wholesome and tasty. Promoting healthy, home-cooked food is a key objective of the café.
Further down the line we hope to offer a cookery hub where the local community can learn skills such as cooking healthy food from scratch on a budget.
We want The Merstham Mix to be the friendliest, warmest, most welcoming café with delicious food that everyone can enjoy. We want to do our bit on a local level to help the global food waste crisis and to help ensure everyone has access to hot and wholesome food and the skills to replicate it in their own homes.
So whether you’re a Merstham resident who lives round the corner or someone from the wider community who fancies coming to a café that is doing something a bit different in the name of a good cause, we look forward to welcoming you.
